Update for December 9, 2016
Today, we bring you a few updates:
Frequency 2000: We've added the next 1000 words to our new Frequency-based deck, bringing you Frequency 2000. We're on track to bring you 1000 new words over the next three weeks, so we'll hit 5000 words by the end of the year.
Back-end optimization: As the number of cards in our database has swelled, we’ve spent this week focusing a bit more on the back-end, trying to make the application faster for everyone when they’re loading 1000 or more cards.
Redesign: We’re also introducing a new redesign in pieces over the next few weeks. リピートstarted out being an extremely simple and stark design, but we want bring a bit more color and friendliness to the design of the website as we move into the new year and bring out more functionality. You’ll see the changes in your Dashboard this week.
Chapter Specific Tests: As part of the new redesign, we’ve added the ability to review and test your on specific chapters in the textbook. These tests still contribute to your SRS goals, but allows you to focus on certain cards for when you’re working on that chapter in class or elsewhere. Try it out by going to your new dashboard, and clicking the ‘Test Chapter Vocabulary’ links under each chapter.
On Donations
First of all, I’d like to reiterate that I am committed to keeping リピートfree-to-use and ad-free for everyone. But over the past few months, I’ve received a few requests to create a means for users to contribute to the site. I am extremely humbled by this – I always think I need to make リピートmuch better before even considering accepting donations.
But, I loved the suggestion that DarthHero made last week to use Patreon. Patreon is often used by creators to engage with supporting users and give them a voice to tell me what they really want out of リピート A lot of you send me suggestions via email or on reddit, but I think it would be wonderful to use the Patreon page to open up a conversation about what to develop next.
